Uriel served as an Admission Counselor for Bates College for two years where he traveled domestically (Illinois was one of his territories) and served multicultural students and families in learning about selective college admissions. He transitioned to the "other side of the desk" to work for UNO Charter School Network at Hector P. Garcia High School in the south side of Chicago. After three years there, Uriel joined the Schuler Scholar Program as a College Counselor.
When it's nice outside, you can find Uriel playing soccer and going fishing (including fly fishing) or exploring new places to eat great food.
"The purpose of college is to make your mind a better place to spend the rest of your life."

“So much of what we do begins with helping Schuler Scholars commit to the effort to get accepted into top colleges. From there you want them to believe that it will happen.”
