After graduating from Amherst College with a B.A. in Biology and English Literature, Madeline started her career in higher education by joining the admission office at Amherst. There she learned the ins and outs of selective college admission by reading and voting on thousands of college applications. Madeline's favorite part of the job was sharing her insights into the college application process with high school students and their families. This realization sparked her interest in college counseling, and her commitment to equity in higher education led Madeline to Schuler.
Outside of work, Madeline enjoys reading, baking, and going out dancing! She also plays the violin, and was a tour guide at the Emily Dickinson Museum when she was in Amherst.
"I can't be a pessimist because I am alive. To be a pessimist means that you have agreed that human life is an academic matter." - James Baldwin
