Tanya Schuler Sharman

Co-Founder

Tanya Sharman co-founded the Schuler Scholar Program in 2001 with her father, Jack Schuler.

While growing up, Tanya not only attended a high school that provided excellent college counseling and prepared her for college academically, but she also had the benefit of growing up with family expectations of not only going to college, but also graduate school. She knew that students in neighboring communities did not have access to those same opportunities, which is why she became interested in starting the Schuler Scholar Program.

Tanya has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a bachelor's in Civil Engineering from Tufts University. Her career has had many twists and turns, which is why she encourages Scholars to get a good education from a top notch school that can support them in any career. Tanya has been a project engineer designing highways, consultant designing corporate digital technology strategies and a recruiter for a retained search firm. She feels lucky that her career has taken her around the globe, including to Europe and Singapore.

In Tanya's free time, she likes to travel with her family, garden and walk with her dogs, Molly and Coda.
