Sarah is an astrophysicist, graduating from Macalester College in 2019 after studying physics with an astronomy emphasis as her major, and German Studies as her minor. Her research has primarily focused on the neutral hydrogen content of nearby dwarf galaxies, and she has been published on one paper with another currently out for review. In college, she tutored physics, astronomy, and German, co-hosted an astronomy themed radio show, and operated her school’s rooftop telescope at observing nights open to the public. She is excited to begin working as a member of the Schuler team and glad she joined in July 2019!
Outside of academia, Sarah enjoys cycling, reading, and singing opera. She also has her black belt in karate and is related to two presidents!

“So much of what we do begins with helping Schuler Scholars commit to the effort to get accepted into top colleges. From there you want them to believe that it will happen.”
