Jewells joined the Schuler team in September 2018 as the School Director for a new partnership at Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep on the South Side of Chicago. Jewells completed her BA in English Language and Literature at the University of Virginia and then continued her education and began her career in New York City. She earned in Masters in Public Administration from New York University’s School of Public Service and worked in Corporate and Foundation Relations at the engineering school, NYU-Poly. Jewells relocated to Chicago to join Teach for America, where she taught ELA content across 9-12 grades. Jewells is passionate about empowering students to seek meaningful challenges, write powerful narratives, and pursue their post-secondary dreams.

In her personal time, Jewells roasts her own coffee beans and enjoys hiking and outdoor adventure.
