After graduating from Marquette University, Krista started her professional journey at LUMIN Schools. This opportunity allowed her to work with families and students from various backgrounds and communities. These families often did not have access to the best educational resources due to budget constraints. The experience truly opened Krista's eyes and made her realize that she wanted her work to make a difference. This desire ultimately led Krista back to her home state of Illinois to join the Schuler Scholar Program.

In her free time, Krista loves to hang out with her friends, go to concerts, and watch anime! She is currently watching Black Clover but her all-time favorite anime is Naruto.
