Kate began her career in education as a Teach for America corps member in 2007. In ten years teaching in Chicago high schools she primarily taught World History and later Theory of Knowledge with the International Baccalaureate Program. In 2015 Kate earned a Master’s Degree in Reading Education. After teaching in Singapore for a year, she returned to Chicago to become the Director of College and Career at ACE Amandla Charter High School. This experience led Kate to her current role with the Schuler Scholar Program.
In her free time, Kate loves to travel. She has visited over 35 different countries and enjoys exploring new cities on foot. When home in Chicago, Kate likes trying new recipes, visiting new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
