Ann Cocks
Program Manager
Ann worked as a marketing manager in book publishing for several years in New York before proudly becoming a high school English teacher. She taught at Highland Park High School where She first learned about the Schuler program.
Ann loves mountains wherever they rise up, and she leads backpacking trips in mountains and other wild places for the Sierra Club. Ann spent almost two years in Namibia as an English Language Fellow, which was a wonderful professional experience and cultural immersion.
"We are all explorers, driven to know what's over the horizon, what's beyond our own shores. And yet, the more I've experienced, the more I've learned that no matter how far we travel or how fast we get there, the most profound discoveries are not necessarily behind that next star. They're within us, woven into the threads that bind us, all of us, to each other. The final frontier begins in this hall. Let's explore it together." Captain Jonathan Archer, Star Trek Enterprise
