Schuler Scholar Program Announces Two New Partnerships

PRESS RELEASE: Two new partnerships will increase access to top colleges for Chicago and Lake County students

LAKE FOREST, IL – January 23, 2014: Today, the Schuler Scholar Program (SSP), a college access program for highly motivated students, announced new partnerships with Zion-Benton Township High School District 126 (Zion, IL) and Richard T. Crane Medical Preparatory High School (Chicago, IL). These partnerships represent a collaborative effort to make access to highly selective colleges a reality for students in the city of Chicago and in northern Lake County.

“The opportunities Schuler will provide our students and community are exceptional and life-changing,” shared Dr. Chris Clark, Superintendent of District 126. Herald “Chip” Johnson, the Chief of Schools for Network 6 (of which Crane Medical Prep is a part) added his congratulations, stating, “Our CPS students deserve the very best in college and career preparation.  A partnership with the Schuler Scholar Program, which believes that ‘students will be successful in obtaining a college degree if they are motivated, and have access to academic and enrichment programs while in high school’ means success is inevitable.”
