Catalina was heavily involved with choir and theater at the high school level. As a result, she received many honors for her work. She also tutored math, mentored middle school choir students, and assisted incoming Schuler Scholars at Camp Manito-wish as a senior leader. Her outstanding accomplishments gained her access to Dartmouth in the fall of 2010.
Catalina has lived in Illinois all of her life and is a first generation college student.
