Care Package Assembly Night a Huge Success

11/10/2011

On Tuesday, November 1st, parents of freshmen Schuler College Scholars came together at Warren Township High School to assemble care packages for 74 Schuler college freshmen.  From hot chocolate and tea to popcorn and candy, the care packages will deliver freshmen many college “essentials!” Plus, packages include Schuler pennants, notepads, and water bottles so that our new College Scholars can share their Schuler pride with their campus communities.

As they dined and assembled their boxes together, parents enjoyed sharing college stories with other Schuler parents. It was especially exciting for parents whose children attend the same college to connect, whether about their Scholars’ experience thus far or tips for purchasing plane tickets. Overall, our first-ever care package assembly night was a festive occasion for parents to gather and send the Schuler college freshmen boxes full of goodies, as well as a loving reminder that we are always of thinking of them back home.
