Helping high potential youth gain access into the most selective colleges and universities in the country
The Schuler Scholar
Program is now accepting applications for interns during the summer of 2012.
Schuler is seeking bright, motivated students who have a passion for Schuler
and the field of education. The SSP Internship Program aims to educate college
scholars about education and non-profit organizations and empower interns
through unique experiences across partner schools and within the central
office.
Interns will help plan and attend special events and career exposures, work
with Schuler high school students, and participate in department and staff
strategy meetings. Interns will be expected to take initiative to complete a
variety of administrative tasks and will oversee hands-on projects from start
to finish. In addition, interns will work with and obtain feedback from and be
mentored by Schuler staff, and have access to input from senior staff members.
This is a paid internship opportunity and is typically a seven-week internship
with a Monday-Thursday workweek. Applicants must demonstrate interest in
education and/or non-profit organizations. Applicants should be flexible,
enthusiastic, and dependable. Applicants must be Schuler Scholars who are
current college sophomores or juniors at the time of application.
Applications will be accepted through March 1, 2012. The application process
may include a phone or Skype interview. Please submit your application, resume,
and essay or cover letter to Megan Melloy, Intern Program Coordinator, at megan@schulerprogram.org.
